A Neighborhood Group Home is a licensed residential setting approved by the Division of Developmental Disabilities Services (DDDS) that provides 24-hour supervision and support to individuals with developmental disabilities within a typical residential community. The home is integrated into the neighborhood and designed to offer a safe, stable, and homelike environment.
Residents receive person-centered support tailored to their individual needs, including assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), medication administration, health coordination, community integration, and skill development. Services are provided in accordance with each individual’s Individual Support Plan (ISP), with an emphasis on promoting independence, dignity, choice, and inclusion.
Neighborhood Group Homes support individuals in building life skills, maintaining meaningful routines, and participating in community activities while ensuring health, safety, and overall well-being.
